Learn to Ride - New Rider Course License Waiver
Learn all the skills and riding strategies required to earn your motorcycle license in a one-on-one setting with your very own RiderCoach. Successful completion of the course and testing will result in a 90-day motorcycle license waiver. This means you are eligible for your Class M motorcycle license with no additional testing at the DDS for 90 days immediately following the date of graduation. The waiver expires 90 days post-graduation.
The class can be completed as a 1-on-1 program or in private groups ranging from 2-4 in size. This course is perfect for busy individuals seeking their Class M motorcycle license who are in need of scheduling flexibility, or those who prefer to learn on their own without the pressure of a group setting.
Classes are available between 7 AM and 6 PM and on some weekends. We will work with you to set specific dates and times for your convenience.
The course includes several classroom segments with interactive activities to improve perception and hazard awareness. Range-riding exercises begin with very basic instructions to get you started, then slowly progress to shifting, clutch work, throttle, and braking. You will also learn crash avoidance skills like swerving and sudden braking. A RiderCoach can tailor the program to whatever pace and learning style best equips the student for success. For example, if you need extra time on an exercise, there is flexibility for additional instruction time in a private class, but this may not be possible in a group class.
We will send registered students a link to an online 3-hour "eCourse" to be completed before your first day of class. Online course to be completed within 30 days prior to your start date.
